
Gothenburg Thrashers SOMBER issued the demos 'Oblivion' in 2002, 'God's Design' in 2003 and the 2004 set 'Berkley'. Founded as a high school covers act in 2001, the original formation comprised frontman Pontus Dahlstrom, lead guitarist Andreas Henriksson, rhythm guitarist Christoffer Melin, bassist Bjorn Rehnqvist and drummer John Bresater. However, Melin would be replaced by Carl Fritzell. SOMBER cut a new demo, entitled 'Name Your Poison', at Lars Mobergs Studios outside Gothenburg in September of 2004! 2005 Define:Rend was released and the guys were on the roll again, this time in USA, California. After 16 months in California, USA, the Somber returned to Sweden to record and release their first full-lenght album "The Black Machine". With international recognition from the album, Somber is now touring the globe, spreading the gosspel of "The Black Machine". Next up; South America this fall.
