Mixing the rock’n’roll of the 70’s with an analogue yet modern sound the group has build a fan base from all over the world. CHILLIHOUNDS is not the latest fad nor is it meant to catch on the retro hype. It’s simply music played with lots of heart and passion by and for people who love the authentic rawness of AC/DC, DEEP PURPLE, TED NUGENT, GRAND FUNK RAILROAD, STATUS QUO and ZZ TOP. CHILLIHOUNDS was formed in Gothenburg back in 2003, but it wasn’t until 2005 and a few line-up changes later that the groups burning love for energetic classic hard rock began to take shape. The demo “No Fashion, Just Rock’n’Roll” received interest in the underground scene and the first album simply called “The Album” was released in early 2007 on Italian independent label Nicotine Records. It received high critical acclaim in the European music press and CHILLIHOUNDS played numerous sweat drenched shows promoting the release. The first pressing of “The Album” was sold out in a matter of months.
